OVERVIEW
Southland
Waste Systems and its sister company, Seaboard Waste Systems, provides
comprehensive residential solid waste collection services to rural and
urban areas in the northeast Florida counties of Clay, Duval and St. Johns.
Through a combination of subscription services and municipal partnerships,
we collect waste material from more than 85,000 h
omes
in our service area. Services provided include separate yard trash collection
and curbside recyclable
materials collection.

Southland Waste Systems is the exclusive provider of residential waste collection for many parts of Clay County including the community of Middleburg. The City of Jacksonville, Florida provides curbside pickup of solid waste generated by residential households within its city limits. Funding for this service comes from taxes paid by its citizens and franchise fees charged to commercial waste haulers.
Southland Waste Systems of Jacksonville is the exclusive provider of residential waste collection for a portion of the northern part of the City of Jacksonville in an area generally bordered by the Duval/Nassau county line, the Atlantic Ocean, Old Kings Road, Edgewood Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard. Included in our service area are the neighborhoods of Arlington, Ft. Caroline, Garden City, Greenfield, Grogens Bluff, Highland, Mayport, Oceanway and University Park.
In addition to household garbage, we also collect yard debris and recyclable material placed in blue recycle bins. If you live in our service area, your household waste will be routinely picked up on scheduled service days. St. Johns County provides its citizens with curbside pickup of solid waste, yard debris and recyclable material from residential households located in the county. Funding for the basic service comes from assessments which are included on annual property tax bills. Residents of certain communities which receive special waste collection services are billed by the service provider for the cost of providing the additional services.
Seaboard Waste Systems is the exclusive service provider for the northern half of St. Johns County. Our service area includes the communities of Fruit Cove, Palm Valley, Ponte Vedra Beach, Orangedale and Switzerland.
