Setting the pace for recycling in North Florida

Recycling provides many benefits, from helping to preserve the delicate ecological balance of our environment by reducing pollution, to conservation of energy and natural resources. In addition, from a business perspective, recycling can save money. We provide expert and environmentally responsible recycling services to help our customers attain maximum benefit from a recycling program. We are Northeast Florida's largest and most experienced recycling service provider, serving businesses and residential communities on our little corner of the planet since 1988.

RecycleWe operate one of the largest paper  processing plants in North Florida.  Our paper recycling plant was founded in 1988 with a philosophy of establishing long-term relationships that enable us to accept and provide material in both good times and bad. We process between 2,500 and 3,000 tons of material each and every month. These volumes enable us to provide a superior level of service with prompt, reliable pick-ups and efficient, confidential processing while paying top dollar for recyclable materials. We offer several tailored methods of collecting recyclable material, including carts, gaylord boxes, skids, roll-off containers and trailers. Our recycling experts can help you choose the best collection method for your situation.

Among the paper-based materials we collect and recycle are books, cardboard (baled and loose), coated sulfite, computer paper, file stock, new colored ledger, new white ledger, newsblank, newspaper, and copy paper. Other materials may also be profitably recycled. Our in-house recycling experts can help you determine which materials qualify and how to achieve maximum value for your material.

Our Complete Program for Recycling

Let Southland breathe life (CPR) into your company's recycling efforts. Southland now has a complete recycling program flexible enough to fit any business need, big or small. We are making it easy to be GREEN! In addition to paper, we also take plastic drinking bottles, aluminum and steel beverage/food cans plus all grades of fiber, such as office paper, books, phone books, and cardboard. For a single-source, complete program for recycling, we invite you to speak with one of our recycling experts.

Pulling our weight

More than ever, the statistics show that Americans are pulling their weight when it comes to paper recycling. In the United States, the amount of paper recovered for recycling rose from an average of 233 pounds per person in 1990 to an average of 339 pounds per person in 2003 (source: American Forest & Paper Association). We are proud to play an important role in paper recycling here in Northeast Florida.
